Overview

The Filsham Lane project was a full ground-up residential development, transforming a vacant plot into three contemporary single-storey homes. Working from detailed architectural plans, we delivered a complete build that balanced practicality, modern design, and high-quality finishes.

The Challenge

The site sat on varied ground levels and required careful planning to ensure all dwellings tied in seamlessly with the existing terrain. Access had to be newly formed, drainage reworked, and boundary treatments designed to suit neighbouring properties.
Each house type (Type B and Type C) came with unique layouts and roof forms, so coordination between structural, architectural, and external works was essential.

Our Approach

We began by establishing accurate levels and installing new boundaries, access routes, and service runs. The construction phase included building three standalone bungalows with brick façades, pitched tiled roofs, and modern window arrangements. Internally, each property was fitted with:

  • Open-plan kitchen and living spaces
  • Three bedrooms including a master with en-suite
  • Utility areas and storage
  • Fully insulated warm-roof structures
  • Contemporary bathrooms and finishes

 

Externally, we constructed garages and carports, pergola structures, terraces, pathways, and bin storage enclosures. Landscaping included new laurel hedging, planting, lawns, and decorative paving to create a cohesive and attractive streetscape.

Outcome

The development now delivers three high-quality, modern homes that blend seamlessly into Filsham Lane. The project achieved the planning intent precisely, maximised the site’s potential, and created a small residential community with strong long-term appeal.
